(1) The disc accessed exclusively by Microsoft Cluster Server to store the cluster recovery log, and to determine whether a server is up or down. Only one server can own the quorum disc at a time. Servers in the cluster can negotiate for the ownership.
(2) A managed disc (MDisk) that contains a reserved area used exclusively for cluster management. The quorum disc is accessed in the event that it is necessary to determine which half of the cluster will continue to read and write data.
