A group of words, usually found in sequence, that are mechanically recognised in text without regard to sentence structure, and annotated. A multiword unit may or may not constitute a multiword expression (MWE), and may consist of one word for the uniformity of data development. LanguageWare provides separate domain term dictionaries containing multiword units.
