Link-state routing protocol
A type of routing protocol in which each router uses the Shortest Path First (SPF) algorithm to calculate shortest (lowest-cost) paths, and broadcasts or multicasts information regarding the cost of reaching each of its neighbours to all nodes in the internetwork.
