In the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE), the surrogate code for a remote procedure call (RPC) interface that is linked with and called by the client application code. In addition to general operations such as marshalling data, a client stub calls the RPC runtime library to perform remote procedure calls and, optionally, to manage bindings.
