An IBM licenced programme that enables a system to be managed by a central site ES/9000 system running the IBM NetView Distribution Manager program. Managed System Services enables objects and programme temporary fixes (PTFs) to be sent or retrieved, PTFs to be applied, programmes to be run, and the central site system to control an initial programme load (IPL) of the system.
