A temporary storage queue with a DATAID of DFHMxxxx, where xxxx is the identification of a logical unit, into which CICS reads messages (for message-protected tasks only) during emergency restart. A user-written enquiry programme run after emergency restart can read the contents of message caches. CICS does not read or purge message caches.
