Event response

A preconfigured action that is triggered when an event is generated. The administrator can configure one or more event responses to specific event types. Examples of event responses include logging the event, notifying an individual or group by e-mail that the event has occurred, sending the event to an SNMP application, and initiating a programme or script. See also response level.
