Call stack

(1) The ordered list of all programmes or procedures currently started for a job. The programmes and procedures can be started explicitly with the CALL instruction, or implicitly from some other event.
(2) A list of data elements that is constructed and maintained by the Java virtual machine (JVM) for a programme to successfully call and return from a method.
