C₈H₉NO₃ A crystalline compound that forms shiny leaflets from water solution, melts at 245–247_C, and is soluble in alkalies and mineral acids; used as a photographic developer and in the analytical determination of iron, phosphorus, and silicon. Also known as photoglycine.
