soluble glass
A concentrated and viscous solution of sodium silicate or potassium silicate in water. Used as an adhesive, a binder, a protective coating, in waterproofing cement, and in bleaching. Colorless; amorphous; Na2O.XSiO2, in which X = 3 to 5; deliquescent.
