miner's lung
A disease of the lungs caused by habitual inhalation of irritant mineral or metallic particles. It occurs in any workplaces where dust is prevalent, such as mines, quarries, foundries, and potteries. Also spelled pneumonoconiosis; pneumonokoniosis.
