carbon dioxide atmospheric concentrations
The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, most commonly expressed as a mixing ratio by volume, usually in units of parts per million by volume (ppmv). The 1995 concentration of 360 ppmv is more than 25% greater than the preindustrial (i.e., eighteenth century) value of 280 ppmv.
