The Office for Accreditation of the American Library Association serves the public, students, employers, and library and information studies Master's degree programs through the promotion and advancement of education in the field of library science and information studies. The Office for Accreditation regularly reviews and evaluates master’s level library and information science programs to ensure quality. It promotes diversity in library education and assists universities in developing and improving graduate library education.
