Democratic Party (Partai Demokrat) was founded in 2001. It is a middle oriented political party with liberal ideologies. Even though this party is particularly new compare with other political party, it was supported by many people and at 2004 the nominated president, who was also chairman of the party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono won the presidential-election.
