C7H6O6S A trifunctional aromatic compound whose dihydrate is in the form of white crystals or crystalline powder; soluble in water and alcohol; melting point is 120_C; used as an indicator for albumin in urine and as a reagent for the determination of ferric ion; it also has industrial uses.
