molybdic ocher
A possibly orthorhombic mineral, Fe2 3(Mo6O 4)3.8H2O ; forms yellow earthy powder, incrustation, or silky, fibrous, and radiating crystals from reaction of pyrite with molybdenite under supergene conditions; relatively common in porphyry copper deposits of Southwestern United States in old mine dumps with jarosite and goethite.
