HCN A highly toxic liquid that has the odor of bitter almonds and boils at 25.6_C; used to manufacture cyanide salts, acrylonitrile, and dyes, and as a fumigant in agriculture. Also known as formonitrile; hydrogen cyanide; prussic acid.
