Sometimes referred to as “Big Blue” IBM is a multinational corporation headquartered in Armonk, New York. It manufactures computer hardware and software and provides information technology and services.
(1) The name of the library containing the object and the name of the object. See also object name.<br />(2) A data name explicitly accompanied by a specification of the class to which it belongs in a specified classification system.<br />(3) In C++, a name that is used to qualify a nonclass type name, such as a member, by its class name.<br />(4) A data set name consisting of a string of names separated by periods; for example, TREE.FRUIT.APPLE is a qualified name.<br />(5) A name that conforms to the Namespaces in XML specification. A QName consists of an optional prefix, or its associated URI, and a local name. See also expanded QName, in-scope namespace, lexical QName.

(1) The number of a record that identifies the record within the source member.<br />(2) A field in a journal entry that contains a number assigned by the system. This number is initially 1 and is increased until the journal is changed or the sequence number is reset by the user.<br />(3) A 2-byte field in the structured field introducer that identifies the position of the structured field in the data set.<br />(4) A number assigned to each message exchanged between two nodes. The number is increased by one for each successive message. It starts from zero each time a new session is established.
